2012 SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP FEES
Society membership fees are due from January 1st 2012
. Subscription renewal/joining forms were sent out in November and more are available from the Secretary or Treasurer at any Meeting, and also available as pdf by clicking here.Members at the Christmas Social wishing to pay their subscriptions then are particularly asked to present a completed renewal form with a cheque payment when a receipt can be issued later rather than offering cash. This is in order not to impose on the Treasurer the need for him to be continually writing out receipts for cash payments during the Social evening when he would prefer to be looking at minerals.
Members are recommended to provide their e-mail addresses if available in the interest of placing as many people as possible within electronic communication, not to mention cutting down the cost of posting out hard copies of the Society Newsletters. The member who provides an e-mail address may however still wish to receive a hard copy of the Newsletter and can indicate so on the renewal form. Those members who have already provided their e-mail address will continue to receive the Newsletter via the Internet unless the Committee receives instructions from anyone to the contrary.
The renewal form may also be used to pay next year’s premium for
Personal Accident Insurance. It should be understood that the period to be covered by any payments made now would be for the period from September 1st 2009 to August 31st 2011.Payments for
P.A.I. for the September 1st 2010 to August 31st 2011 period could still be made separately from the annual subscriptions by submitting a form and paying the appropriate fee - up to June 30th 2011 when the Society financial records are closed for the annual audit.
